Vitamin Water: Perhaps One of the Most Toxic “Health” Drinks of the Century!

Have you ever tried Coca-Cola’s Vitamin Water? Is it tasty? Yes. But is it health? NO.

This hydrating drink, which is promoted to be healthy drink that prevents chronic diseases, promotes healthy joints and support optimal immune function, is actually very unhealthy drink.

According to Mr. John Robbins, Esq., PhD., M.D. this product is nothing more than sugar-water with synthetic vitamins inside. A bottle of this vitamin water has 33grams of sugar, that’s about 8 teaspoons of sugar! This fact makes it more similar to soft drinks than to healthy drink.

If you decide to read the ingredients of “orange-orange”-flavored vitamin water you will be surprised.

Here is the list of ingredients that this drink contains:

Reverse osmosis water, cane sugar, crystalline fructose, less than 0.5% of: citric acid, electrolyte sources (potassium phosphate, calcium lactate, magnesium lactate), (calcium pantothenate) vitamin B5, vitamin B3 (niacinamide),  vitamin B12, beta-carotene, (ascorbic acid) vitamin C, (alpha-tocopheryl acetate) vitamin E,  gum acacia, modified food starch, glycerol ester of rosin, natural flavors, sorbitol, (pyridoxine hydrochloride) vitamin B6.

Crystalline Fructose

Crystalline fructose is produced by a fructose-enriched corn syrup. So basically, it is made from corn syrup, which contains 99.5% minimum of fructose assay, which is a very high percentage of fructose than what makes up high fructose corn syrup.

Crystalline fructose can be contaminated with heavy metals, chloride, lead and arsenic. As a result of all these facts, it can lead to insulin resistance, increased belly fat and metabolic syndrome. In worst cases it can create cirrhosis and a fatty liver because it can not be processed completely in the liver. The fructose causes oxidative damage because it interferes and alters the metabolic process in our cells.

Synthetic Vitamins

Synthetic vitamins are useless for us, because they aren’t readily broken down, absorbed and utilized by the body. Synthetic vitamins are super-processed, because they are usually manufactured at high temperatures and contain artificial or toxic ingredients, such as dyes, sugars, preservatives, starch, coal tars and other additives.

Vitamins like A and E are not water soluble, so they can lead to serious health problems.

Artificial Colors

Artificial food coloring is a huge problem both for adults and children. All of them contain potential cancer-causing chemicals and most of them can potentially cause severe allergic reactions says the Center for Science in the Public Interest. They also discovered that Yellow 5, Yellow 6 and Red 40 are seriously contaminated with carcinogens, and at the same time it has been proven that Red 3 is carcinogen, but it is still used in the food supply.

Pure water is the smartest choice for all of us. It is the best way to keep your body properly hydrated at all times.
