Duck Feathers:

One of the most popular urban legends about McDonald’s is that their awesome hamburgers have cow eyeballs inside. This is not 100% proven but what we are 100% sure is the fact that the company’s Baked Hot Apple Pie uses duck feathers, or at least some of it parts. Truth can be just as strange as fiction. McDonald’s and other similar fast food restaurants use Cysteine-L, which is actually an amino acid synthesized from duck feathers and human hair. This is used to flavor meat and soften pastries and breads.

Pink Slime:

McDonald’s makes you feel sure, that every time you eat their famous McNuggets, you consume chicken. But, this is too far from the truth, because it is nothing more than a mixture of chicken carcass bones, meaning that they use chicken parts that you usually don’t eat at home. Some of the other ingredients they normally include in the mixture well-known as pink slime include small amounts of petroleum and ammonia to kill bacteria.

Silicone Oil (Silly Putty Plastic):

Dimethylpolysiloxane is a well-known form of silicone which is daily used in the stretchy toys, but it also used for keeping fryer oil from foaming, and this is what you can find in McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish and fries … or in many other things which are deep-fried in various fast food restaurant.

Wood (cellulose):

Cellulose is processed wood pulp, is also used in everything. Food processors use it to stabilize foods, boost fiber content, thicken and replace fat.

Petroleum-derived preservatives:

The TBHQ (tertiary butylhydroquinone) has petroleum. McDonald’s, uses it in about 18 different products starting from its famous McNuggets and Griddle Cakes to Walnut and Fruits Salad.

Soil fertilizer (ammonium sulfate):

Ammonium sulfate is naturally sold by chemical companies to all the food manufacturers. It is used as yeast food for bread, and many fast-food companies mention this ingredient in their bakery products.
About 40 years ago, more than $6 billion was spent the popular fast food. Today that number is increased to $200 billion. The food industry earns tons of money, while they serve us disgusting food.
